Silicon Jungle is feature film shot on a digital format and was released in Chennai in April 2006. The movie received good reviews and was very well accepted by the students and film fraternity. The movie was shot in a shoe string budget featuring actors from IIT dramatics team and Chennai theatre circle. Silicon Jungle is a story of four students coming from different backgrounds to IIT for pursuing their BTech course. Frooti is an ambitious student who always dreamt of going to the USA and work in a place like NASA. Bulbi is a physics enthusiast who wanted to study physics but due to family constraints takes up Engineering. Shocker comes to IIT not because of interests in any specific field but for the mere prestige in society.

It describes their journey through the fours in IIT where they undergo many emotional and psychological transformations. Their goals are initially obscured because of conflicting perceptions about career, friendship and love. This story shows how they face various challenges, reconcile their mental conflicts and finally succeed in identifying their goals.
